3D Ship Projected Onto Water At Amsterdam

This impressive installation by Romania-based architecture collective visualSKIN is part of the Amsterdam Light Festival. The team projected a three-dimensional image of a 17-century ship against a curtain of water. The projection is called ĎGhost Shipí and can be viewed from multiple angles even though itís nothing more than water and light casting shadows.

The piece is in reference to a Dutch East India Company Ship known as The Amsterdam that was wrecked in a storm during its first voyage in 1749. Check out more photos here.

Amazing Floating Greenhouse Powered By Natural Energy

This floating greenhouse called Jellyfish Barge is the ultimate in green thinking and it also makes the riverside light up with itís magical lights. Unlike traditional methods of farming that heavily rely on soil and irrigation systems, the barge only uses solar, wind and tidal energy thanks to itís clever design, making it pretty much self sufficient and much better for the environment.

The project was commissioned by Italian design firm Studiomobile and has been designed with busy urban environments in mind. The raft offers people the chance to make use of what rivers and freshwater lakes have to offer whilst contributing positively to the community.
