Dogs are among the most varied species in the animal kingdom, coming in all sorts of colors, shapes, and sizes. Some people prefer pure-bred, predictable pooches with known traits and temperaments, but they can often suffer ill health from genetic diseases. However, when you cross breeds you never know which traits from either species will be more dominant. These cross-bred dogs are called "mutts", but I think that name does them a disservice. These dogs are fascinating mixes, that are often adorable beyond words.
