6. Plants repel mosquitoes.
If you choose your herbs carefully, they can double up as mosquito-repellents, preventing those nasty bites and reducing your risk of getting dengue or malaria. A good mosquito-repellent plant is marigold – just put one marigold plant after every 2 – 3 herb plants and you’re good to go. The colourful flowers will brighten up your home too!
